Jay D. Bhatt
Jay D. Bhatt, DO, MPH, MA, FACP

Dr. Jay Bhatt serves as Chief Medical Officer of the American Hospital Association and President of HRET. Most recently, he was the first Chief Health Officer at the Illinois Health & Hospital Association. In this role, he led large improvement projects including the Hospital Engagement Network (HEN) which is aimed at reducing readmissions and hospital acquired conditions. He has launched several improvement collaboratives, managed the Medical Executive Forum, led the Midwest Alliance for Patient Safety, launched a physician leadership academy and designed and advanced a statewide high reliability initiative.

Dan Diamond, MD

Well known for creating an exciting learning experience, Dr. Diamond engages the mind of the learner leaving participants with practical concepts they will never forget. As an experienced family physician and an award-winning educator, Dr. Diamond delivers practical information on transformation with creativity and skill. In 2014, Dr. Diamond received the Presidents Volunteer Service Award from President Obama and he also received the Quality of Care Lifetime Achievement Award, Healthcare Heroes. He recently authored a called Beyond Resilience: Trench-Tested Tools to Thrive Under Pressure.

Daniel Friedland
Daniel Friedland, MD

As Founder & CEO of SuperSmartHealth and the Chair of the largest integrative health organization in the country, Daniel helps people harness and leverage stress to become a motivating energy source so that they can resolve conflicts, collaborate, accomplish more, continually innovate, and find greater success and significance at work and at home. He is the author of the first medical textbook published in the United States on Evidence Based Medicine – now the standard of care for all healthcare practitioners. He recently published, Leading Well From Within, Conscious Leadership and Transforming Burnout into Resilience an evidence-based book with a foundation in neuroscience and mindfulness practice.

Dr Don Kennedy
Don Kennedy, DO, MBA, PhD, CPE

D. E. Kennedy at the age of eight discovered surfing and grew up working and surfing the east coast and California. He has 30 years of practice experience in family and geriatric medicine. At the age of fifty-two, Dr. Kennedy returned for his master’s degree in business and completed his PhD in Leadership in 2015. He was founder and CEO of three family medicine practices, set-up and managed urgent care centers. Dr. Don Kennedy writes to improve lives and is the only physician in the country practicing Motivational Medicine. His latest book, The Surfer’s Journey, is a research-based fable using Don’s love for Mother Ocean to motivate and develop socially conscious leaders he calls transformational heroes.

Dr. Chip Souba
Wiley W. Souba, MD, MBA, ScD

Dr. Souba has regularly been ranked as one of The Best Doctors in America by his peers and has been widely recognized for his clinical expertise. His work was funded by the National Institute of Health for 20 years and he has published more than 500 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters. The editor of two books and author of another, he is recognized for his innovative approaches to developing leaders and leadership. He lectures regularly, conducts workshops and has published extensively on diverse topics such as health care and leadership challenges, personal and organizational transformation, leading oneself, barriers to effective leadership, and the language of leadership.
